Crawley Borough Council’s latest landmark housing development is nearing completion.
Bridgefield House is among one of the new residential developments currently being built in the town centre.
Situated along Northgate Avenue, close to the town centre, the council purchased the land in 2018 and is working with construction company Buxton, to deliver this six to eight storey building consisting of 98 apartments, 67 of which will be affordable rent and 31 as shared-ownership. The development is due to be completed in October and features a mixture of one, two, and three bedroom apartments. The shared-ownership apartments are being marketed by Connells, in this exciting new venture for the council. The delivery of these affordable homes will assist local residents to enter the housing market, with residents interested in the shared ownership scheme, able to purchase equity shares that suit their affordability, ranging between 25 and 75 per cent of the market value. Cabinet member for Housing, Councillor Ian Irvine, said: “This is an exciting new development and I am delighted we are able to offer a portion of these homes for shared ownership. These properties are the perfect opportunity for those looking to get on the property ladder, or council tenants who would like to downsize and live closer to the town centre.” For more information, visit https://crawley.gov.uk/housing/finding-home/new-housing-developments |
