Community sports charity, Tennis for Free is returning to Maidenbower Park, offering residents the chance to learn a new skill and improve their fitness, completely for free!
Tennis for Free is a community sports charity that provides free coach led tennis sessions and access to tennis courts in local parks around the UK, for all members of the community. Last year, Tennis for Free hosted an impressive 514 community members who took part in weekly sessions from July to November 2019. The coach-led sessions are one of several similar schemes in the south east, and will be returning every Sunday, starting 29 March, from 9.30am to 11am at Maidenbower Park. All equipment is provided free of charge, and people of all ages and abilities are welcome. Cabinet member for Wellbeing, Councillor Chris Mullins, said: “I am delighted that Tennis for Free is returning. It is so important that all members of our community have access to sporting activities and Tennis for Free is a fantastic initiative. Last year’s sessions were incredibly popular and I hope that residents pick up a racket again this year and have fun.” If you would like to take part in the free sessions register at tennisforfree.com |
